All employers in South Sudan are required by law to register with NSIF. Any employer who fails to register their workers within 30 days of employment is guilty of an offence and liable to penalties.
Please contact your nearest NSIF office immediately if your employer is not registered with NSIF. Our Compliance Officers will take the necessary steps to ensure that your employer registers with NSIF and fulfills their obligations.

You can only register once as a member of NSIF during your lifetime. Your NSIF number is unique and remains your account number for life, even when you change employers.
When you change jobs, all you need to do is furnish your new employer with your NSIF number. Your contributions will continue seamlessly under the same account.
Please notify NSIF as soon as you change your contact details (phone number, address, email). This allows us to update your records, keep your payment information current, and ensure you receive important communications about your account.

YES. You remain a member of NSIF even if you lose your job. Even if you are no longer making regular contributions, your existing savings continue to earn interest.
You can also continue to make voluntary contributions as a Voluntary Member by visiting your nearest NSIF branch or using our USSD service *747#. This allows you to maintain and grow your retirement savings even during periods of unemployment.
NSIF will provide you with a FREE statement of account on request. A statement of account shows the total contributions made to your account as well as the interest earned to date.
