Composition of the Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of the National Social Insurance Fund (NSIF) is constituted in accordance with the NSIF Act. The Board provides strategic leadership, oversees fund management, and ensures accountability to all stakeholders.

Board Membership Structure

• The Chairperson – Appointed by the President on recommendation of the Minister of Labour
• The Undersecretary, Ministry of Finance & Planning – Ex-officio member
• The Undersecretary, Ministry of Labour, Public Service & HRD – Ex-officio member
• Two representatives nominated by employers' organizations
• Two representatives nominated by workers' unions
• Three independent experts appointed by the Minister – with expertise in actuarial science, finance, insurance, accounting, or law
• The Managing Director / CEO – Ex-officio member and Secretary to the Board

Trustees serve for a term of three years, renewable once, and are responsible for the oversight of the Fund's strategic direction, investment decisions, and regulatory compliance.
