Register your business, manage employee contributions, and fulfill your NSIF obligations
All employers in South Sudan are required by law to register with NSIF and remit contributions for their employees.
✅ Compliance Bonus: Employers who remit contributions on time may qualify for preferential rates and certificates of good standing.
Contributions are calculated as a percentage of an employee's gross monthly salary. Both employer and employee contribute as follows:
| Contributor | Rate | Based On |
|---|---|---|
| Employee | 8% | Gross monthly salary |
| Employer | 17% | Gross monthly salary |
📌 Note: Contribution rates are subject to review by the NSIF Board of Trustees and the Ministry of Labour. Total monthly contribution is 25% of gross salary (8% from employee + 17% from employer).
| Monthly Salary (SSP) | Employee (8%) | Employer (17%) | Total Contribution |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50,000 | 4,000 | 8,500 | 12,500 |
| 100,000 | 8,000 | 17,000 | 25,000 |
| 200,000 | 16,000 | 34,000 | 50,000 |
| 500,000 | 40,000 | 85,000 | 125,000 |
Contributions must be remitted by the 15th of the following month
